Why pods beat willpower
Hours said out loud get done
Commitments announced to real people get completed at roughly twice the rate of hours planned in private. A pod is the cheapest steady-commitment machine ever invented.
Teaching is the strongest retention
Explaining a problem to your pod exposes the gap between “recognizes the formula” and “owns the concept” faster than any solo practice session.
Nobody notices when you stop, alone
Solo studying’s one fatal failure mode is silence. In a pod, a missed week gets a message, not a shrug. That message has saved more sittings than any manual.

The pod covenant
Six rules every pod agrees to at the first meeting, they’re the difference between a pod that multiplies hours and one that consumes them:

- ✓ One fixed weekly slot, protected like an exam sitting
- ✓ Rotate who drives; the strongest member teaching every week is a failure mode
- ✓ Missed week? Say so before, not after. Silence is the only foul
- ✓ Ten minutes of venting is honored; then back to problems
- ✓ What’s shared in the pod stays in the pod

What does it cost?
Nothing, ever. Pods are the highest-leverage free thing on this site. The mission is that nobody passes alone, and that can’t sit behind a paywall.
How does matching actually work?
First week of every month I match signups into pods of four by exam, timezone band, and pledged weekly hours, then send one intro email connecting you with a suggested first meeting time and the playbook. From there the pod runs itself.
What if my pod goes quiet?
It happens. Schedules collide, sittings pass. Reply to your intro email and you’ll be re-matched in the next monthly round, no questions. Pods also re-form naturally each exam cycle.
I’m in an unusual timezone. Will I still match?
Timezone band is the second matching key after exam, and asynchronous check-in pods exist for the genuinely unmatchable hours. From Harare, my most important study partner one sitting was eight timezones away. It works.
Can working candidates join, or is this for students?
Both. Pledged weekly hours is a matching key precisely so a 6-hours-a-week analyst isn’t podded with a 20-hours-a-week student. Same exam, same pace, whatever the life around it looks like.
